Executive Committee Meeting Friday, August 17th, 2007 Minutes
Hunt Hill Sanctuary
Meeting was called to order at 8:37 a.m.
Members present: Dan Frase, Charlie Swanson, Ann Miller, Storme Nelson
Absent: None
Others present: Leanne Woodland
Information Center Signage:Leanne Woodland explained she attended the City of Spooner finance committee meeting regarding WCTA’s request for room tax dollars to pay ½ cost of updating the Information Center’s external sign ($2100). Leanne hopes the current sign will be updated before winter 2007. Leanne also submitted ¼ costs of sign updates to Spooner Chamber, WCED and Spooner Rodeo. Storme Nelson motion to approve updating Information Center sign. Dan Frase seconded. All in favor. No nays.
2008 Sports Shows Participation:The committee reviewed possible participation in 8 shows throughout the 5 state region. The committee discussed the close proximity of Madison verses Des Moine shows and wanting to only choose one of the two. Dan Frase motioned for Leanne to organize the shows, and to “combine with Rice Lake and Sawyer County as much as possible and stay within 2007 budget.” Storme Nelson seconded the motion. All approved. No nays
