 Washburn County Tourism Annual MeetingWashburn County Highway Shop on May 8, 2007

11:40 a.m. 

The meeting was called to order by President Dan Frase at 11:40 a.m. 

Individuals present: Dick Fankhauser, Betty Jo Brown, Dan Frase, Ann Miller, Storme Nelson, Charlie Swanson, Margie Quinn, Ruth Skeie, Tara Heckel, Barb Crites, Donna Grelyak, and Ken Grelyak. 

BYLAWS:

The present By-Laws were opened for discussion: Barb Crites made a motion to amend Article I, Section I, on the language to Washburn County Tourism Association, and also know as WCTA.  Storme Nelson 2nd motion.   Motion carried. Barb Crites made a motion to amend Article I, Section II, and add the word North to WCTA’s address.  Ann Miller 2nd the motion.  Motion Carried.   Barb Crites made a motion to add a sentence on Article II, Section I, to state, “All WCTA current records of this organization are kept in the Administration Office located at 122 North River Street, Spooner, WI 54801.”  Ruth Skeie 2nd the motion.  Motion Carried. Dan Frase made a motion to correct the typo error in Article X, Section 2, to read upon dissolution, all assets of this Association shall revert to Washburn County Inc.  Ann Miller 2nd the motion.  Motion Carried.   

ELECTION OF BOARD MEMBERS:

The following terms are open:  Charlie Swanson’s (Spooner) three year term, Kathy Mitchell (Birchwood) three year term, Gary Sutherland (Shell Lake) three year term, Deb Meier (Spooner) three year term. Nominations are open to floor for the following: Ann Miller made a motion to re-elect Charlie Swanson, (Spooner) three year term, 2nd by Ruth Skeie.  Motion Carried.  Motion made by Dan Frase to appoint Kathy Mitchell, (Birchwood) three year term.   Storme Nelson 2nd motion.  Motion Carried.  Motion made by Ann Miller to appoint Barb Crites (Spooner), Charlie Swanson 2nd motion.  Barb Crites declined.  Betty Jo Brown made a motion to appoint Ruth Skie, (Spooner) three year term.  Storme Nelson 2nd the motion.  Motion carried.   Motion was made by Storme Nelson to appoint Tara Heckel, (Shell Lake) three year term.  Ruth Skie 2nd the motion.  Motion Carried.   Motion to close nomination by Dan Frase, 2nd by Charlie Swanson.  Motion Carried.The Board of Officers will be elected at the June meeting. 

Motion made by Ann Miller to adjourn meeting, second by Betty Jo Brown.  Motion carried.
