Namekagon River Challenge Informational Meeting

Volunteers are needed by the Washburn Country Tourism Association to get involved with the exciting Namekagon River Challenge celebrating the 40th Anniversary of the river being protected.
This two day event that will be held the second weekend in June on the Namekagon and will include a variety of activities the whole family will enjoy.
If you would like to be involved in this interesting venture that is being co-hosted by the National Park Service, call the Tourism office in Spooner at 635-9696 or by e-mail at tourwashburncounty@centurytel.net.
Committees are now being formed for Safety and Parking, Marketing and Sponsorship, Education and Race Logistics.
The first informational meeting will be held at the Washburn County Information Center (122 N. River St.) in Spooner at 5:15pm on Monday January 21st.
This is just an information meeting so there will be no pressure to join a committee, just come out to see what it’s all about!
