11/19/2009 Thanksgiving Feast and Environmental Education Program

Happy Tonics, a nonprofit 501 (c)(3) environmental education organization and public charity in Shell Lake, WI, will be presenting an environmental film at the Lac Courte Oreilles Ojibwe Community College (LCOOCC) Thanksgiving Feast and Environmental Education Event, at 13466 W. Trepania Road, in Hayward, WI, on November 19, 2009.

10:30 a.m. Adam Fear, LCO member, will dress a deer.  Learn how to prepare a deer.  A brochure of local growers, grazers, farmers and where to buy fresh local produce and product will be available. 

11:30 a.m. Thanksgiving Feast.  Elders will be gifted after the feast with venison at the Elder Give Away Ceremony.
