Hunt Hill is a 500 acre Audubon wildlife preserve, learning center, and nature sanctuary, open to all, dedicated to fostering understanding, appreciation and protection of the environment. The State Natural Area of Hunt Hill has protected areas of old forest and northern sphagnum bogs. There are 10 miles of hiking trails, two footbridges three lakes, a 40 acre restored prairie, glacial formations, and several distinct habitat areas with different native plants, animals, insects, and birds of northern Wisconsin. The camp has overnight dorm facilities for residential camp programs, or for groups to rent for their own programs; as well as dining facilities, a library, a shower house, meeting rooms, a nature display area, a waterfront area, and multiple rain gardens and perennial flower gardens. We are open every day for visitors to hike and enjoy the outdoors areas from dawn to dusk; and the office is open Monday - Friday generally from 9 am till 4 pm. Please call ahead (635-6543) if you'd like to meet with a sanctuary staff member in person.
