‘Berry’ Tasty Affair

Stone Lake residents and visitors look forward to cranberry harvest with great anticipation — so much so that one weekend of every October is set aside for the Stone Lake Cranberry Festival. With the marshes bright red with berries and the fall colors at their peak, it’s a festival you and your family won’t want to miss. The celebration includes cranberry marsh tours, a cranberry crate derby, parade, arts and crafts, music and a bake-off contest. Food booths will tempt every appetite — from Stone Lake’s famous crandogs to brats and chicken dinners. There’s always a veritable smorgasbord of cranberry favorites, from pancakes to ice cream sundaes. And of course, tons of fresh cranberries fresh off the local marshes are sold by the pound. Come see first-hand the harvest of Wisconsin’s most valuable fruit crop. Click to view a list of Washburn County Cranberry Marshes (pdf) for contact information.
