Washburn County Tourism Association is proud to present the Taste of Washburn County Gala at Round Man Brewing Co. in Spooner on Tuesday, January 22, 2019. The Gala is limited to the first 200 ticket holders and is on track to be a wonderful evening! Doors will open at 5:00 p.m. and you will get to experience different samplings of food from restaurants all over the county. There will also be live music by Sean and Ian Okamoto throughout the evening as well as brewery tours, raffle prizes, and a photo booth sponsored by Moore Inspired Photography.

Tickets can be purchased at the Washburn County Visitor Center in Spooner (located next to McDonald’s). Current hours for the Visitor Center are Monday to Friday 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.; Saturday’s 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

This event will be used as a fundraiser for Tourism as well as Arts in Hand Gallery & Hunt Hill Audbuon Sanctuary - all of which are non-profits located in Washburn County.

The proceeds from the Gala that Arts in Hand Gallery receives will go toward their upcoming event this summer, “Clay Day: Potter’s in the Park”. Clay Day will be held in Centennial Park in Spooner, next door to the Gallery. There will be several potters in the park doing demonstrations of how they make theirs works of art and the functional pieces used in everyday life. Some of the potters will have material for attendees to make something to take home because the clay they will be using is mixed with material that won't have to be fired.

Hunt Hill Audubon Sanctuary will be improving their trail signage along their 13 miles of trails that are open to the public for free use. The current signs are small and can be easily overlooked; they do not give an idication of distance or directions. The new and improved signs will help hikers identify their direction, distance, and trail.

Washburn County Tourism is very excited to see the outcome of the projects!!
