Local yoga instructor, Deb Johnson, will lead a station on the basics of yoga. Larry Samson, local reporter and photographer, will demonstrate the basics of nature photography. A Hunt Hill staff member will lead a peaceful hike through nature. Participants will also join a local wild edibles enthusiast, Tavis Lynch, who will teach on the edibles we can find in our own backyards. Tavis has been studying mushrooms for over three decades and teaches several mycology classes throughout the Upper Midwest, including at Hunt Hill.
Wellness in the Wilderness is a new program geared towards adults. The program focuses on showing participants how nature can help improve mental, emotional, and physical health. During four 45-minute exploratory stations, discover new ways to stay healthy by spending time in nature and try your hand at a new hobby.
Registration is required by October 8th. Program fee is $20/person. This program takes place outdoors. Go to www.hunthill.org to learn more about safety measures for programs. To register, call Hunt Hill at 715-635-6543 or email program@hunthill.org.
