At Acre Acres, Hosted by Hunt Hill Audubon Sanctuary
Hunt Hill Audubon Sanctuary will be hosting two Active Outdoors programs on Saturday, January 30, 2021 at 1:00 pm for adults and at 2:30 pm for families with children. Active Outdoors is a monthly program series supported by Mayo Clinic Health System with the goal of introducing our community to fun activities that they can do outdoors! This month’s activity is Snow Sculpting.
Participants will learn why sap moves through the maple trees and how to identify a maple. Then they will identify their own maple tree and tap it. Next, they will collect up sap from previously tapped trees and boil it over a fire.
Registration is required by Friday, March 26th at Noon. To register, call 715-635-6543 or email program@hunthill.org.
First session at 1:00pm is limited to 20 adults, second session at 2:30pm is limited to 5 families. All activities will take place outdoors with social distancing practices in place.
