The Walleye Capital of Wisconsin, Long Lake in Washburn County is a picturesque 3,300 acre, 19 mile long lake reaching depths of over 70 feet. The clear, spring-fed water, cool deep bays, gravel bars, pristine setting, and miles of undeveloped shoreline make a productive year-round fishery for walleye as well as large and small mouth bass, crappie, bluegill, and northern pike. Surrounded on all sides by trails, Long Lake is a hot spot for ATV, snowshoe, cross country ski and snowmobile enthusiasts. In the winter, the "lake trail" will bring you across Long Lake where you can access all of the restaurants and resorts. Nearby Hunt Hill even offers 13 miles of hiking trails.
