Ainsley's Blog: Family Pizza Train Ride
May 19, 2018
Today I went to the Wisconsin Great Northern Railroad Train Station. We got to eat pizza on the train. It was a blast! I got to drink a soda. This was my first time on a train, so I didn’t know what to expect and I had lots of questions like were the seats going to be like a school bus. When we entered the station I was excited to see Greg, the owner of the train because he’s nice. After picking up our tickets we walked around the giftshop. We waited in the waiting area not very long before loading the train, but it felt like forever because I was so excited. When the conductor had us load the train, I got to pick out the table and seats. We didn’t have to wait long before the train’s whistle blowed and the train started moving. For about an hour and a half I looked out the window and got to see cars, rivers, streams, trees, horses, neighborhoods, lots of nature. A few minutes into the ride, they gave us our pizza and soda. The pizza was yummy! When we got to the end of the track, the train drove backwards all of the way back to the train station. When we got back to the station, I went into the giftshop and got a cup and a Wisconsin Great Northern Railroad t-shirt to remember the good time I had! I recommend that everyone go for a ride on the pizza train, because it’s going to be fun and tasty!
