Ainsley's Blog: Shell Lake Beach
July 25, 2017
Tonight we went swimming at the Shell Lake beach. I like to swim under water and tonight I swam under the water with my eyes open! The water was good. It was a little cool at first but dad and I got used to it. He even swam a little bit. I also swam out to one of the yellow rafts. I jumped off of them. I did a couple of cannon balls, jumped off backwards, jumped off of the ladder a couple of times and walked off of the raft. I like the Shell Lake beach because there are two rafts to swim out to and jump off of. One of them is far out there, but I feel like they seem closer than last year. I also like that the beach is really sandy. One time I might bring a book and a towel and I will lay down and read on my towel. Families should come to this beach because people can have family time after work. Sometimes there are lifeguards at this beach, but there weren’t any lifeguards tonight. But if there aren’t lifeguards, an adult can watch you instead…or a big brother or big sister.
After swimming at the beach, I played at the playground nearby. There were little kids and big kids playing. The big kids were nice to me. I like climbing on the big fish and going down the slides that it has.
After the park, we went across the street to the Scoop n Brew because I wanted ice cream. But first I had to eat a hotdog, but I didn’t really want one, but I had to have one. I had a couple of bites and then had my dad eat the rest, and I ate the bun so nothing went to waste. After eating, daddy and I had to find the ATM so we could pay for the ice cream. Let’s see, I had a lemon meringue Ice cream cone. It’s called lemon meringue because there is lemon in it. The ice cream was very very yummy! They also have Blue Moon, so if you like Blue Moon, you should go there and get some. If you don’t like it, that’s okay too. I had a single scoop, which is really two scoops of ice cream! Or maybe it was three, I don’t know because I wasn’t really watching. After we got the ice cream dad took my picture next to the big walleye by Shell Lake. Oh, I almost forgot, I licked the ice cream and used a tiny spoon to eat it out of the cone too!
I liked everything about tonight. Everything. Thank you, bye bye. I’m going to do another blog, so I hope you read this one, before the next one comes out! Shell Lake was very great, and you should love it just like me!
