Located on the border of Washburn & Sawyer Counties, Stone Lake is a treasure of a small town. Stone Lake has big appeal to visitors, especially in the fall when the annual Stone Lake Cranberry Festival occurs. Thousands of people gather in this small town the first Saturday of October to celebrate all things cranberry. The event includes over 300 Arts & Craft Vendors, Cranberry Crate Derby, Parade & much more! Antiques hunters, history buffs, and shopping lovers will find their little piece of paradise in this little northwoods town. While you’re in town enjoying one of the many surrounding lakes, be sure to stop into the local coffee shop for a cup of fresh brewed gourmet coffee or sip your favorite glass of wine at the local wine shop.

Rustic Road #71
Rustic Road Route #71 skirts the western shore of Stone Lake. The trees along the route form a graceful arch overhead which is beautiful in the summer and absolutely stunning during the fall color season. This route connects to one of the Washburn County Fall Color Tour routes, so be sure to pick up a tour map.
Take a walk through Stone Lake Wetland Park, hop on an ATV and hit the Washburn or Sawyer Co. trails, or grab your road bike for a leisurely ride on one of the scenic country roads. If water is your pleasure, you're surrounded by lakes in Stone Lake. Be sure to check out the town's namesake for crystal clear water recreation.
