Family Fun

Washburn County is home to a variety of great activities, trails and attractions for your family getaway to Wisconsin. The best way to explore the area with your kids is to pick up the Kids' Scavenger Hunt brochure at the Washburn County Visitor Center in Spooner. Activities in the scavenger hunt include visiting the Spooner Fish Hatchery, taking a train ride on the Wisconsin Great Northern Railroad, tubing down the Namekagon River: Wisconsin's Moving National Park, taking your picture at The Giant Bluegill in Birchwood, taking a hike on a local trail, attending a festival or event, grabbing an ice cream cone, and so much more. After all that fun, bring back pictures to show off at the visitor center and the kids will get a prize bag!
