Horseback Riding

With over 30 miles of equestrian trails, Dugan Run is an absolute hidden gem for horseback riding enthusiasts. The trail system is located between Spooner and Stone Lake in a vast section of county forest land. Trails wind through gently rolling terrain, forested with oak, white pine, and numerous other forest types. There are views of numerous lakes and two bridges over small streams. The trails are a mixture of “single track”, logging roads, and a small section shared with an ATV trail. The north loop trailhead is located two miles North of Highway 70 on Dugan Lake Road and offers primitive campsites and plentiful parking. The southern loop trailhead offers twelve campsites with electrical hookup.
