Trail Conditions: 2/4/2012

Snow Base: 2 to 4 inches

Snowmobile Trails: All Washburn County Snowmobile Trails are closed.  Recent warm temperatures have caused rapid deterioration of our already limited snow pack.  Significant new snow will be needed to facilitate reopening of the trail system. 

Summer use ATV trails remain open throughout the winter months.

Ski Trails:

Beaver Brook Trail- Open, Groomed-Stride, Good Condition

College Street Park Trail- Open, Groomed-skating and a new track (still a grassy spot or two) set; Excellent Condition, Lights are on

Heartwood Trails (Trail Fee)- Open, Groomed, Excellent Condition

Nordic Woods Trail- Open with poor snow conditions.  Daytime warming has created variable ski conditions.  Trails will not be groomed until cooler temperatures and new snow are received.

Red Barn Trail- Open, Groomed, Excellent Condition

Sawyer Brook Springs Trail- No Report

Totogatic Trail- Open with poor snow conditions.  Daytime warming has created variable ski conditions.  Trails will not be groomed until cooler temperatures and new snow are received.

Trego Lake Trail- Open, No report on condition

 

Snowshoe Trails:

College Street Park Trail**- Open, Very Good Condition

Heartwood Trails** (Trail Fee)- Open, Excellent Condition

Hunt Hill Trails- Open, but melting and icy. 4 inch base in the wooded areas.

Trego Nature Trail- Open, No report on Condition

Wildcat Mountain Bike Trail- Open, Good Condition

** Indicates Multi-Use trails, please stay off the cross-country ski tracks

 

ATV Trails: OPEN (Summer use trails are open at this time)

(The Trail System will close any time the fire danger reaches "Very High" or higher)

Wild River Trail: OPEN, Fair to Good condition
