Long Lake is known as the "Walleye Capital of Wisconsin". This picturesque 3,300 acre lake is located in the southeastern corner of Washburn County, Wisconsin. It stretches almost 19 miles and reaches depths of over 70 feet.
Long Lake's sparkling clean spring fed water offers many recreational opportunities including fishing, swimming, and boating just to name a few.
The Long Lake area offers many resorts, bars, bait shops, and restaurants featuring anything from burgers and homemade pizza's to gourmet selections. Also in the Long Lake area is Butternut Hills, a lush 18 hole golf course overlooking the lake and Hunt Hill Audubon Sanctuary, a 500 acre nature reserve, for wildlife enthusiasts.
Long Lake is a lake for all seasons. For the sports minded, there are many miles of marked ATV/Snowmobile trails, Hiking & cross-country ski trails, and ice fishing. Many of the resorts offer fall & winter accommodations.
