Year after year it seems as though the beautiful fall colors attract visitors from all over and why wouldn't they? The vibrant reds and bright yellows are just breathtaking! While there are many ways to take in the autumn beauty, here are a few ways to venture through Washburn County for all the best views & fun!

Paddling the Namekagon: Take out your paddles and canoes or kayaks and head over to the Namekagon River, Wisconsin's Moving National Park. Washburn County is home to over 40 miles of the riverway and let us tell you first hand - the riverbanks are beautiful no matter which stretch of river you are on!

Fall Color Routes: So you want to venture outside of the river...well, let us give you a little direction. The Scenic Routes of Washburn County are a great way to see the countryside. Just pick which part of the county you want to explore & let one of the driving routes take you on your way.

ATV Scenic Tour: If rolling down the windows of your car or putting the top down isn't enough to give you the full outdoor fall experience, then hop on your ATV and follow along the ATV Scenic Tour. This specialty map is created to point out different spots along the trail, some natural, some historical & some man-made.

Hiking Trails: For those who want to get out on a trail & enjoy the peace and serenity of the northwoods, there are over 100 miles of hiking trails throughout Washburn County. If you head to Hunt Hill you will discover a variety of trails throughout their 600 acre nature preserve. Or, wind down trails along the babbling Namekagon River - no matter which trail you end up on, it's sure to be a beauty!

Taste & Treasure: The flavors of fall are divine, and the treasures along the way are just as great! When you have the Taste & Treasure brochure you will get the best of both. You will have a local dining guide right in hand so you can eat your way through the fall flavors or explore the arts throughout the area.

The Burch Barn: So we can't end our fall itinerary without mentioning The Burch Barn. This family favorite is loved by many because you can run through a corn maze, take a ride on the grain train, enjoy a huge corn pit, ride on the 100 foot gunny sack slide and so much more! It will have you coming back year after year to enjoy the fall activities. Each time you visit there is a new activity to enjoy.
